Federal Contributions
The federal government will cover up to 50% of your course fees.
You can receive up to 50% of the costs for courses, modules and exam training that are required for a federal diploma. Professional certificate or federal diploma. Diploma serve, recovered from the federal government. Those who complete multiple courses or modules can even accumulate the fees up to the maximum amount. The federal government will pay up to 50% of the eligible course fees,up to amaximum of CHF 9500 in the case of a professional examination .
What are the requirements?
The federal government directs the money directly to the graduates (to you) (subject funding). Eligibility for a federal contribution is subject to the following conditions:
- The course must be on the list of preparatory courses at SERI (➜ www.sbfi.admin.ch/bundesbeitraege). Please check this yourself.
- You have to pay the course fees yourself. The invoice(s) and payment confirmation(s) from the course provider must be in your name.
- You must, after payment, immediately request a separate confirmation from us. There is no automatic delivery.
- You have to take the exam. The entitlement exists regardless of the success of the examination.
- You must be resident in Switzerland for tax purposes at the time of the audit.
IMPORTANT!
- If you wish to claim back contributions from the federal government, you will need the additional confirmation of payment from us as the course provider. You must request this confirmation from us immediately after paying for the course.
- IMPORTANT! A subsequent issuance or a second issuance in case of loss is only possible for a fee. We do not provide automatic confirmation.
- Keep this confirmation so that you can claim the amounts back from the federal government after you have passed the federal examination.
- Please refer to the SERI guidelines. The federal contribution can only be applied for after completion of the federal examination. You submit your application via the SERI online portal. In case of need, an application for partial contributions may be made under certain conditions. In this case, the graduates can already apply for partial amounts for incurred course fees before the federal examination.
